For right now though, so that you have something to implement until we meet on tour…

Here are 4 of my tips to stop running your business like a hobby…

And start running it like you invested a million dollars to start it:

STEP #1: Focus On ONE Company

Like I said recently, in my blog Are 2 Direct Sales Businesses Better Than 1? It is confusing, takes a ton of time, energy and dedication.

If you want people to take you seriously, you need to focus on ONE company…

Because when you are all over the place, people view your business(es) as a hobby, no matter what you do.

STEP #2: Set Up Your Schedule

I teach you EXACTLY how to do this in the Rockstar Direct Sales Academunity.

You need to have your OOI in check so that you are working when you want to and ONLY when you want to.

You, Your Partner & Your family come first…I cover this in a little more depth in the 1st Step to Organizing Your Chaos post.

You can still have a ROCKIN’ biz & make MAD money if you follow the training.

That’s the beauty of Direct Sales.

Step #3 Set Boundaries

Your clients ARE NOT more important than your family.

Yes, you should be running your biz like you invested a million dollars in it, but not at the sacrifice of running yourself and your family into the ground. You will burn out FAST.

You need to set FIRM boundaries with your clients (& your team if you have one).

Boundaries you should set are things like:

  • When are your office hours?
  • What days will you party?
  • When do you take calls & answer emails or messages?
  • Deliveries… ohh that’s a good one. Stop delivering orders to your hostesses and clients, there’s a lot of wasted time doing this.

STEP #4 Don’t Be A Pushover

This is the BIGGEST issue direct sellers face when they are are running their business like a hobby.

If you are letting your clients push you over and run your business by telling you what you should be doing, when you should be doing it and how you should be doing it, you need to STOP right now.

You need to be FIRM in all of your business decisions & tell your clients and hostesses ahead of time, how it is you do things.

For example, if someone reschedules a party and they had a bonus for booking, they loose it.

Don’t say “well, I understand if that doesn’t work for you, let’s reschedule and you can keep your bonus.”

HELL NO!!! Right there you have lost all credibility in running your business.

It is a hobby because you are not sticking to your guns. You are letting your client run your business.

Do you see what I am saying here? Am I making sense?

Now, this is just the beginning of going from hobbyist to entrepreneur in your business…

The other place you have to change from hobbyist to entrepreneur is in your mind…

And that is the entire foundation of the Survive The Summer Slump ALL DAY event is about.
